Overview
Adding crushed agricultural limestone (calcium carbonate), or "liming," is a relatively inexpensive, well-known, and highly discussed management practice to enhance crop productivity in both acidic soil and water. Liming a pond to maintain consistent and optimal alkalinity concentrations will improve ecosystem health and maximize fish growth.
