Overview
Plum leaf scald (PLS) is caused by the bacterium (Xylella fastidiosa). This organism causes disease symptoms in many plant species such as:
- Peaches (Phony peach disease)
- Oak
- Elm
- Maple
- Almond
- Sycamore trees (bacterial leaf scorch)
- Coffee (bacterial leaf scorch)
- Grape (Pierce's disease)
- Citrus (citrus variegated chlorosis (yellowing))
