Overview

Transporting Children Safely in Child Care is designed to provide child care providers with basic knowledge on the correct selection, usage, and installation of child safety seats as well as guidelines for protecting children in and around vehicles.

Course Information

Note: Transporting Children Safely in Child Care has replaced Introduction to Child Safety Seats for Child Care Providers. If you have already taken Introduction to Child Safety Seats for Child Care Providers, you may get an additional two credits for taking Transporting Children Safely in Child Care. Both courses meet the new requirement that child care workers have an additional two hours of credit in transportation safety.

Transporting Children Safely in Child Care is designed to provide child care providers with basic knowledge on the correct selection, usage, and installation of child safety seats as well as guidelines for protecting children in and around vehicles.

This online training course qualifies for 2 clock hours of credit and meets the requirements for two hours of transportation safety education as mandated by Jacob's Law.

The courses must be taken individually with each participant passing the test given at the end in order to earn a certificate of completion. Because of the strict testing requirement, the course cannot be taken together in a group.
