Overview

A deep understanding of how language and literacy develops is critical. Definitions of important language and literacy concepts are presented along with strategies for creating language and literacy rich environments. Strategies to support second language learners with developmentally appropriate practices are provided.

Definitions of important language and literacy concepts are presented along with strategies for creating language and literacy rich environments. Strategies to support second language learners with developmentally appropriate practices are provided to integrate language and literacy experiences throughout the day. Funding for this 2-hour training course was provided by the Workforce Solutions as part of their Early Care and Education Quality Improvement initiative.
