Overview

Blueberries are truly an American fruit, with several species native to North America. Blueberries need acidic soil with a pH of 4.0-5.5 to grow. Since this type of soil is mainly located in east Texas, across the state, blueberries are best grown in containers. This factsheet instructs gardeners on the care of container-grown blueberry plants and provides two recipes that showcase the fruit. (2 pages)
