Course Information
Maintaining the health of young children - and setting them up with lifelong healthy habits - are critical elements of a quality early childhood program. This one-hour course reviews some of the key practices early childhood educators can use to implement farm-to-table strategies in early care and education settings. This course describes basic principles of adopting farm-to-early-childhood-education, demonstrates how to implement farm-to-ECE practices in your program, and teaches how to design effective policies and educational opportunities around locally produced food. It is aligned with the guidelines of the Texas Healthy Building Blocks recognition program. This course was developed with support from the Texas Department of State Health Services.
