Overview

Northern bobwhites are a valuable resource for landowners and sportsmen. In this study, pen-reared quail were released and tracked to see how well they adapted to and survived in the wild. Results show that releasing pen-reared quail may not be the best way to increase population numbers. This publication explains the important role of habitat management in making such decisions.
