Overview

This course is for Texas landowners, and it examines the law regarding solar and wind leases in Texas. This will include a discussion of the key considerations when evaluating a wind or solar lease. This course is a part of the larger Owning Your Piece of Texas course. The course examines the law regarding solar and wind leases in Texas. This will include a discussion of the key considerations when evaluating a wind or solar lease.

Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:

  • Identify the types of contracts to which the Statute of Frauds applies
  • List the three most common lease structures
  • Access publications providing average agricultural lease rates for Texas
  • Identify key terms to include in agricultural leases
