Course Information
All children, regardless of ability, benefit when they are fully involved in programs that facilitate positive interactions between their peers and caring adults.
The purpose of this 2-hour online course is to explore strategies that will help child care professionals promote positive social interactions among all children in their care, including those with disabilities and other special needs.
During this training, participants will examine the benefits of positive peer interactions, focusing specifically on steps that can be taken to teach and promote the skills young children need to develop healthy peer relationships.
This course was developed and produced by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service of the Texas A&M University System in cooperation with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, Child Care Licensing Division, and using funds provided by the Texas Workforce Commission.
