Overview

Developing a strong foundation in mathematics during the preschool years with high expectations regardless of gender, race, socioeconomic or language background is critical for all preschool children. Specific math materials which allow children to explore mathematical ideas throughout the classroom are provided.

Course Information

Math is everywhere! The importance of developing a strong foundation in mathematics during the preschool years is highlighted, as well as having high expectations for all children regardless of gender, race, socioeconomic or language background.

Becoming aware of one's own math anxiety and finding ways to overcome it are also discussed.

Examples of specific math materials which allow children to explore mathematical ideas throughout the classroom are provided.
