The Texas 4-H Foods & Nutrition Project empowers youth with culinary and nutrition skills to prepare nutritious foods while creating healthy eating patterns. Creating healthy eating patterns at an early age can help reduce the risk of chronic diseases, obesity, and poor nutrition in adulthood.

Led by trained educators and volunteers, the project targets 4-H members, classroom students, and community youth with interactive and fun projects and programs. Through hands-on activities, self-guided research, tours, workshops, and other experiential learning experiences, youth can lay the foundation for healthy eating and chronic disease risk reduction while having fun in the kitchen!!
