Research shows that implementing policies can help promote behavior change. This one-hour course will walk learners through the steps of policy development, implementation and evaluation. As a result, those completing this course will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to develop food policies that promote and support healthy eating practices in child care facilities.

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand how child care providers can influence the food habits of children in their care
  • Answer how food policies can promote a healthy food environment in child care settings
  • Develop and implement food policies to promote healthy eating habits in your child care facility
