Our statewide network of professional educators leads programs designed for Texans to learn cooking techniques, new recipes and the importance of diet in disease prevention.

Balancing Food & Play (grades 3rd-5th) was developed to address children’s health issues by developing lifelong healthy behaviors through nutrition, physical activity, and family engagement.

Master Wellness Volunteers help Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service leverage its outreach and education to Texans related to health, nutrition and food safety. Master Wellness Volunteers receive 40-hours of training and serve a 40-hour internship to prepare them to aid in fulfilling the Agency’s mission of helping Texans better their lives.

Course

Cooking Well Exploring Cultures is a four-lesson series that aims to educate participants on nutrition, food safety, and healthy cooking techniques via an interest in cultural cuisine. The program includes recipes from India, the Philippines, the interior of Mexico, and Poland.

Course

Cooking Well with Diabetes is an online cooking school class designed to help people with diabetes and anyone that prepares food for them. It is delivered in sections packed with researched-based information on management of type 2 diabetes and delicious diabetes-friendly recipes.
