Located at the entrance to West Texas, Tom Green County is anchored by San Angelo—a regional hub of over 99,000 residents—with a diverse economy rooted in agriculture, manufacturing, education, business, healthcare, military, and tourism. The county’s rich cultural landscape includes historic communities like Knickerbocker and Christoval, major attractions such as Fort Concho and the area lakes, and educational institutions including Angelo State University and Howard College.

Through a network of over 250 county offices and more than 900 educators, the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service delivers practical, research-based solutions to everyday challenges.
