Don’t forget! Buyer’s List are available in office to pick up. The due date to turn in project report forms and thank you cards was November 12th. All Project Report Forms turned in after November 12th will be considered late. When turning in Thank You Letters, all envelopes MUST have a stamp on them and should be turned in Unsealed.

Just a reminder, District 12 Archery Match Registration closes Friday November 21st. If you haven’t already done so, please register through 4-H Online if you would like to participate in the Archery Match.

Tractor Supply Paper Clover Campaign began November 28th and will run until December 14th. Add a little extra good to your shopping list! Purchase a Paper Clover at any Tractor Supply store to support 4-H youth in your area.

In preparation for County Contest in January, please review that County Contest Handbook. You can find the handbook under 4-H Project Resources. All forms must be turned in by December 19th with the exception of Photography, which will be due at the time of entry.

The Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show is hosting a Citrus and Vegetable Show December 12-13 at the Event Center. This is a great free opportunity for anyone wanting to try out something new!! If you would like to sign up please reach out to me via email at [email protected]

Texas 4-H Dog Validation Opens November 1st in 4-H Online. Dog Validation must be completed by January 10th.

ATTENTION SENIORS!! The Texas 4-H Foundation Scholarship will open November 1st! The Texas 4-H Foundation Scholarships are awarded each year to applicants based on their academic record, 4-H experience, and financial need. Over 200 scholarships will be awarded ranging from $1000 to $30,000. Be sure to check out this great opportunity. Applications are available online November 1st. The deadline to apply will be February 15th.

We have County 4-H T-Shirts for sale. Green shirts from last year ($12 per shirt). Available sizes: YS (2), YM (2), S (1), M (1), XL (3)

This Years Shirt are Dri-Fit and will be $15. Available Sizes: YS (5), YM (10), YL (10), YXL (5), S(10), M (10), L (2), XL (4)

District 9 will host its annual Invitational Quiz Bowl Contest. There will be Family/Community Health, Horse, and Livestock Quiz bowl. It will be held on Friday, January 9th at the Walker County Storm Shelter. Registration will open in 4HOnline on December 3rd. There will be Junior and Senior Divisions. We had a great time at the Community Action Corporation of South Texas Pediatrics Fall Fest on November 12th! Thank you to our parent and 4-H member volunteers that helped set up and promoted the 4-H Program. We had a great turn out!
