The Frio County Extension Office as part of the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, is a statewide educational agency and a member of the Texas A&M University System linked in a unique partnership with the nationwide United States Department of Agriculture’s Cooperative System and the Frio County Commissioners Court.

Upcoming Frio County Extension Programs

Private Water Well Screening – April 8, 2026:

Water samples must be dropped off at the Frio County Extension Office the morning of April 8th between 8am-9am. Sample collection bags, instructions, and forms can be picked at the Frio County Extension Office. Samples will be screened for fecal coliform bacteria, nitrates, salinity, and hydrocarbons. Cost per water sample is $15 (Cash Only). Water screening results will be available next day.

 

Private Pesticide Applicator Training – April 9, 2026:

This training will be held on April 9, 2026, at the Frio County Extension Office in Pearsall, Tx. This training is intended for individuals seeking a TDA Private Applicator License in order to apply or supervise the application of restricted-use or state-limited use pesticides or regulated herbicides during the production of agricultural commodities. Cost for this training is $10 (cash only) and will include additional resources. RSVP by calling (830) 505-7474.
